In July 2024, we introduce a minor update to the front-end interface, along with the inclusion of API documentation for the frontend, and a user interface to manage database migrations.
🔔 New features (V 3.1.1)
New software features refer to additions or improvements made to CLEVVA, designed to enhance its functionality, usability, security, or performance. They aim to provide users with added value, improved efficiency, and a better overall experience when using the CLEVVA application.
Front-end API documentation
We've included software documentation for the front-end API. This resource will aid developers and integrators in seamlessly incorporating CLEVVA with your Chatbot, IVR, or Custom Interface.
Widget JSON/INI files housed in the database
Previously, Widget JSON configurations were stored as files on the server. With the latest update, these configurations have been migrated to the database. This change streamlines the process of updating existing configurations, adding new ones, and removing those that are no longer necessary. Ultimately, this enhancement will facilitate the configuration of the Front-end through a graphical user interface (GUI).
⭐ Patch (V 3.1.1)
Our software patches are small pieces of code designed to fix or update a specific issue or vulnerability in CLEVVA. It is a quick and targeted solution deployed to address bugs, enhance security, or improve functionality without requiring the reinstallation of CLEVVA. Patches are crucial for maintaining the health and performance of CLEVVA by delivering timely updates and improvements.
Database migrations tool
A database migration is the process of making structural changes to a database schema or moving data from one version of the database to another. This could involve adding new tables, modifying existing ones, changing data types, or migrating data from one format to another.
We've created a simple graphical user interface (GUI) for monitoring and managing database migrations and errors. This tool empowers our DevOps and development teams to view new migrations and skip migrations as needed.
The newly developed backend APIs will only be accessible with administrator privileges.
Google cross-origin resource sharing (CORS) update
Google has plans in place to phase out third-party cookies for Chrome over 2024. This has an impact on CLEVVA where CLEVVA needs to interact with a domain that is separate from the domain where the application is running. Typically this will only affect the Widget on the client’s website, or edge cases where the widget is hosted on a separate domain.
Do you have any questions about these improvements or CLEVVA? Then send an email to support@clevva.com and we'll be happy to answer any queries.
